WWE Elimination Chamber 2011 Preview

Elimination Chamber 2011 is live tomorrow. Who will walk out champions heading towards Wrestlemania?

IC Championship: Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio

This feud started because Kingston made the save on Hornswoggle by attacking Del Rio, and that’s really all. The main purpose of this feud is to keep Del Rio busy until Wrestlemania. It might be a good match, but expect it to be what you’d see from these two on any given day. If Del Rio wins, that throws out the chance of Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania. But Del Rio cannot afford to lose this match. So he either needs to win or at least lose via DQ. But losing by DQ could affect his momentum going into WM. Thus, Del Rio wins the title.

World Heavyweight Championship: Smackdown Elimination Chamber

According to 411mania.com, there will be no special surprise as who the 6th man will be for the Chamber. Anyone in this match has a shot of winning it, but the odds are with Edge in this one. The match itself will be most likely good, as most elimination chamber matches are. There are also some good wrestlers in this match to boot.

Number One Contender Match: Raw Elimination Chamber

The odds are with John Cena in this one and it will be a total shocker if he doesn’t win this one. It will be another good match most likely.

WWE Championship: The Miz vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler

Of course this won’t be the best match on the card, but there’s a lot of build behind this match and I’m very eager to see it. Any oldschool fan (going back all the way to Memphis in the late 70s) would love to see Jerry Lawler win here. Especially when his mother just died Monday, plus the fact that out of all the title he’s won, he has never won the WWE title. It would be a great moment for not only oldschool fans, but all wrestling fans. However, it’s not going to happen. The Miz will retain the title here, setting up Miz vs. Cena at Wrestlemania and quite possibly Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler too.

A lot of things could possibly happen at this PPV to swerve people in their predictions for the Wrestlemania card. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time WWE did this. The matches, for the most part, seem as if they will be solid-to-good, plus adding in all the other factors into this PPV– I’d say the PPV is worth seeing.
